The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Apo, Abuja, has announced that the Federal Government's supposed plunderers' rundown discharged by the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed in March this year, does not at all encroach on the privileges of those whose names were recorded
.
Equity Olukayode Adeniyi gave the decision early today in a suit documented by Raymond Dokpesi, administrator of the African Independent Television and Ray Power Radio, in which he asked the court to pronounce the thieves' rundown as void.
Equity Olukayode Adeniyi held that the suit needed legitimacy. As indicated by him, the revelation of the supposed raiders' rundown does not convey any power of law as the clergyman is neither the judge or the investigator in the criminal case pending under the steady gaze of the Federal High Court against Dokpesi.
The directing judge held that if Dokpesi is distressed by the enrolling of his name in the rundown discharged, he should look for cure through a criticism/defame suit.
Meanwhile, the court suspended the slander suit recorded against Lai Mohammed by Dokpesi to November ninth.
