Labour threatens to begin nationwide strike on November 6th if FG fails to adopt proposed N30k minimum wage
The last has certainly not been heard in the interest for another mimunum wage for Nigerian specialists as the authority of the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) has served a formal notice to the Federal Government, of plans by its individuals to go on an uncertain strike from November sixth if the N30,000 new national the lowest pay permitted by law being proposed isn't embraced. 


Ascending from its National Executive Council meeting in Abuja yesterday, the administration of the Labor associations said the Federal government must embrace the new the lowest pay permitted by law, including that specialists would not be scared by any risk of "no work, no compensation" arrangement by the Federal government. Pastor of Employment, Chris Ngige had as of late expressed that the Federal government had proposed N24, 000 the lowest pay permitted by law which has been dismissed by the associations. 

The worker's organizations blamed the Minister for Labor and Employment of setting up an enemy of work and enemies of specialists . With reference to the ongoing approach of no work and no compensation established by the Federal government, the NLC said the Federal government is step by step moving Nigerians back to the Abacha days when specialists were denied their rights to challenge any unfeeling activity. 

The report marked by the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba and General Secretary, Dr. Subside Ozo-Eson, contended that settling of residency for specialists holding association official positions in contradiction of the arrangements of ILO Convention 87; and the denial or avoidance of non-card conveying individuals from exchange associations from driving or being a piece of transaction assignments of exchange associations were  the Abacha military time. 

The work pioneers said as a component of endeavors to address these ''anormalies'' they would arrange a national day of preparation and sensitisation  for specialists to demonstrate their shock and grieving in the 36 conditions of the organization and FCT on Tuesday November sixth.
