An elevator at a metro station in Rome lost control yesterday, sending many individuals colliding with one another at unnerving velocity. The episode which occured at the Repubblica underground station was in front of the Champions League conflict in the Italian capital.
The station was loaded up with CSKA Moscow fans who were made a beeline for the Stadio Olimpico for their group's match against Roma. The elevator anyway broke down when the fans - said to sing and hopping - were making utilization of it.
Somewhere around 20 individuals were harmed, with one fan's foot halfway separated and seven others truly hurt.
Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi visited the metro station and said the neighborhood transport expert had opened an examination.
'From what witnesses have stated, it appears that a few fans were bouncing and moving on the stairs,' Raggi told correspondents
